Germany 1937 (World War II).
The dagger is standard on the cross, the imperial eagle with outstretched wings and holding the swastika in the claws on one side. The pommel has another swastika in the centre surrounded by oak leaves. The hilt of the dagger is the range of colours white / yellow / orange, with a fine gold thread around all this. It features two suspension brackets adorned with oak leaves and two rings. At the bottom there are also three oak leaves.
The standard presentation of the official dagger Luftwaffe Type II is in nickel with the dark background, making the project more taxed, but can also be found rarely with gold finish, possibly used by officers with the general rank.
The dagger came in October 1937 to become part of the official uniform of the Luftwaffe until December 1944.
The Luftwaffe played a major role during the course of World War II, particularly in the early years.
This 1937 model decorative dagger features a fluted simulated ivory handle and German crest on the hilt.
