Both my father, (5th armored post WW2) and my father in-law (101st airborne WW2) carried this weapon. When asked what was preferable, the M1 Garrand or this M-1 carbine, dad immediately went with the carbine. Why? Lighter and easy to carry! This would be perfect for re enactments as opposed to hauling a heavy Garrand or Thompson all day. The workmanship on this replica is top notch with very smooth and slick action and a removable magazine. Very realistic at a great price.
